Jayson is a seasoned professional. As a graduate of Red Deer College and Macewan University music programs, his knowledge of bass, composition, recording is vast. His knowledge of rock & roll, metal, and industrial music may be vaster, however.
There are people who say they ‘listen to everything’ and then there are people like Jayson, who actually listen to everything.
After about a month into the Confusionaires’ existence, Jayson concluded that the electric bass wasn’t going to cut it for this band – and picked up an upright as quick as he could. It didn’t take long before he not only became a monster-level player, but has since dug into the construction and/or reconstruction of upright basses, and has begun to brig some old, decrepit basses back to life.
Jayson’s duties; outside of playing bass, is to make sure The Confusionaires get where they’re going safely and efficiently. His ability to stay awake and stay focused on the road has kept the band safe and punctual year in and year out – even when the Canadian elements are actively trying to kill us… which they are. Thanks to Jayson, we’re the safest and most punctual band in Alberta – possibly Western Canada.
